Thank you for your interest in Academy Primary School. We are pleased that you are considering an Academy education for your child. As you read the materials and come to know us further through conversations, school tours, and visits, you will come to discover the unique education your child will experience as a member the Academy Primary School.


An Academy education is based on a mission of offering developmentally appropriate programs in a safe and reliable environment through dedicated professional staff while maintaining partnerships with parents, staff, and the community. At our school parents are able to enroll their child as an infant and continue through second grade.

We have tried to make our application process as simple as possible, but we also know you may have questions along the way. Please do not hesitate to contact the school if you have any questions.


Student Application – Please complete the applicable sections.


Teacher Evaluation – Enclosed in the application package is a teacher evaluation form for applicants. Please request that the teacher return the completed form directly to the Office of Admissions as soon as possible.


Transcript – Enclosed in the package is a transcript request from to be completed by your child’s current school. Please request that the school send the completed form and your child’s academic records directly to the Office of Admissions as soon as possible.


Testing – Applicants to the Kindergarten, First and Second Grades will undergo an in-house assessment. Please contact the Office to schedule a date for testing.


Classroom Visits and School Evaluation – The prospective student may be asked to join a grade-appropriate class for one or two sessions when an application is received during the school year. The Office will contact you to schedule a classroom visit.


Financial Assistance – Academy requires that all new families interested in applying for financial assistance complete the application for financial assistance, include copies of your 2015 1040 and W-2 forms, and send to the business office. All information will be kept confidential. The Financial Assistance Committee will meet and families will be notified of the financial assistance awards.

All financial assistance recipients must inform the Business Office of any substantial change in income, as we may adjust your grant in accordance with this change.


Admission Decisions – All applicants will be notified by letter on a rolling basis once the application process is complete.
